拍品的状况可能存在极大差异，而由于其性质使然，拍品难以处于完美无瑕的状态。拍品均以拍卖时的状况出售。

The canvas, stretcher and attachments are in generally good condition. There is a horizontal feather craquelure of circa 10cm. in the upper right corner. There is a vertical craquelure of circa 15cm. in the lower centre. There are some circular craquelures in the lower left quadrant. There are stretcher marks visible in places, most notably along the lower left vertical edge. There are a few soft abrasions in places. There is some soft staining in places. A backing board is covering the reverse, presumably the painting is signed and dated on the reverse. Examination under ultraviolet light shows no indication of inpainting.
