The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Non examinée hors du cadre. L’œuvre est sur sa toile d’origine. La toile présente une légère ondulation. Les angles présentent de très légères déformations dues au châssis. La surface est très légèrement poussiéreuse. Quelques très légères traces de frottement sont visibles par endroits, principalement à la périphérie de l'œuvre. Quelques très petites accrétions sont visibles par endroits sur la surface. Les réseaux de craquelures de séchage, principalement visibles dans la partie noire, sont inhérentes à la méthode de travail de l’artiste. Examinée à la lumière UV: pas de repeint apparent. Sous réserve de ce qui précède, selon notre opinion, l’œuvre est en bon état général de conservation.

Not examined out of the frame. The work is not lined. The canvas undulates slightly. The corners present very slight stretcher distortions. The surface is very slightly dusty. Minor rubbing is visible in places, mostly to the periphery of the work. A few very slight accretions are visible in places to the surface. The net of drying cracks, mostly to the black impasto are inherent to the artist working method. Examined under UV light: no visible inpainting. Subject to the foregoing, it is our view that the work appears to be in overall good condition.
