"Gli anni della mia generazione erano densi di un grande impegno, un grande lavoro collettivo per affermare l'importanza dei vari movimenti artistici, io che andavo avanti con gli anni dopo aver visto un periodo storico drammatico mi resi conto che dovevo tornare indietro e ritornare come voi bambini, curiosi, spontanei, naturali, dovevo cercare di vivere le emozioni con gioia senza egoismi, e così la mia sperimentazione mi portò a essere essenziale scartando il superfluo, il mio segno diventò linguaggio, il colore ne era il corpo che con le proprie forme cercava di uscire dalla tela per abbracciare il mondo, la poesia era data da semplici segni mossi da un dinamismo ritmico, la nostra vita che scorre su linee aperte, sui suoni, sulla musica che batte il tempo della nostra esistenza, è vero sono stato coraggioso, ho preso in faccia molte porte sbattute, mi presero per pazzo, non riuscivano a capire la mia metamorfosi, i miei segni, le mie 'Superfici' apparentemente sempre uguali eppure nella propria essenza sempre diverse, cambiavano di continuo il proprio ritmo, il movimento vibrava verso più orizzonti all'infinito"

“The years of my generation were full of a great commitment, a significant collective work to affirm the importance of the different artistic movements, me going forward with the years after having seen a dramatic historical period and realising that I had to go back and return as you children, curious, spontaneous, natural, I had to try living emotions with joy without selfishness, and so my experimentation led me to be essential, discarding the superfluous, my sign became a language: the colour was its body that tried to come out from the canvas with its shapes to embrace the world, the poetry was given from simple signs moved by a rhythmic dynamism, our life that flows on open lines, on sounds, on music that beats the time of our existence, it's true I have been brave, I got many doors shut in my face, they thought I was mad, they didn't understand my metamorphosis, my signs, my 'Superfici' that apparently are all the same and yet always different in their essence, they always changed their rhythm, the movement vibrated endlessly towards more horizons"
