The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
(i) The sheet is laid down to the underlying support. There are fine hairline abrasions to the lower right of the image, only visible under strong raking light. There are scattered minute abrasions to the extreme edges. There is minor lifting to the lower left corner. Subject to the foregoing, it is our view that the work appears to be in generally very good condition.
(ii) The sheet is laid down to the underlying support. There are some scattered minute abrasions to the extreme edges, presumably due to previous framing. There are hairline abrasions to the upper right quadrant only visible under strong raking light, the largest measuring approximately 1.5cm. in length. Subject to the foregoing, it is our view that the work appears to be in generally good condition.
