The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
Not examined out of frame. The canvas, stretcher and attachments appear to be in generally good condition. There is minor rubbing and losses to the extreme edges of the artist's frame, the largest of which measures approximately 2cm. in length. There are two cracks to the lower corners of the frame. There are some soft hairline drying cracks in places of the impasto areas. There is a fine layer of dust in places inside the frame. Subject to the foregoing, it is our view that the work is in generally good condition.
