Unlined. There is some cracking at the lower and upper white portions of the composition and a stretcher bar mark at the top edge with minor associated paint loss. There are three additional minor spots of loss in the lower left, lower right and upper right corners. Under ultraviolet light, there are a few small spots of inpainting in the upper white background and a 3 in. line of inpainting in the lower right section of the man's robe.
