The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

This pencil and grey wash on paper is in good condition overall. The paper is mounted to a 1/4" acidic grey board and glued around all its four edges to the top mat. It does not present any tears, paper losses, or planar distortions. There are a few surface abrasions throughout the image which are most likely due to a broken glass at one time: a small surface loss and a 5" long scratch in the center right of the image, and a 1" v shaped scratch 15" down from the top edge and 9" from the left edge, are the most noticeable. Visually, the paper is mildly oxidized from contact with acidic material and a natural process of aging due to light exposure. Otherwise, the media is well preserved.
