The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Pile ranges from 1/8 of an inch to low knot heads and spot foundation. Pile is visibly lower, mostly down to spot foundation in one half of the field, as visible in illustration. Pile generally best in areas of border. Scattered fold-wear throughout. Scattered re-piling and kashmir re-piling throughout, most visible in field. A small 1 cm. x 1 cm. moth damage area to upper end of field, with visible warps and wefts. A small 1¹⁄₂ x 2¹⁄₂ in. patch to left side guard strip and guard border. Some re-piled old moth damage, most visible in dark blue areas. Sides later overcast and secured with a binding stitch and now with some losses to the outer guard stripe and outer guard border (recommend securing). The carpet has been chemically washed to soften the color palette, now with scattered spot stains and surface dirt. Flexible handle, sound condition.
