Not examined out of its original frame. The painting is executed on panel and supported on the reverse with a cradle. The paint layer is stable. There are scattered lines of craquelure following the grain of the wood. There are a few scattered hairline and circular cracks, including one at upper left to the gold background. There is a line of discoloration to the rocks to the right of the sheep at lower center. There are scattered touch-ups, primarily to the gold leaf decoration. With printed and inscribed Ann and Gordon Getty Collection inventory label. The painting can be hung in its present state. As noted, it is offered in an original painted wood frame.
