The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Each painting is stable on its support. The pigment layer is stable and under a varnish that has yellowed with age. Each with overall minor surface soiling and scattered fine scratches. Each with frame abrasion and holes to the edges (inherent to the work). Under natural light, scattered touch-ups are visible. Inspection under ultraviolet light reveals lines of strengthening and touch-ups to the gold leaf. Morning with an area of restoration to the figure's beard and cheek.
