The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
One (labeled 226):
- the center leaf and the first leaf of the crown on the proper right side have been touched up
- both thumbs are restored
- a small restored chip to the lower edge of the lotus plinth
One (no label):
- both thumbs are restored with some associated overpainting to the hands and arms
- the face, hair and the crown with areas of touch-ups
- some repainting to the upper edges of the lotus plinth at the front
- two small shallow chips to the upper edge of the lotus plinth at the back
One (labeled 77):
- the crown has been touched up
- a small section of loss to the protruding end of the proper left earing/ornament, and the protruding end of the proper right is probably made up or has been touched up
- a repaired break to where the proper left strand of hair joins toe head
- a few glaze flakes to the lower edge of the lotus plinth at the back
One (labeled 86):
- a few leaves of the crown have been touched up
- restoration to the vase, hands and overpainting to arms
All:
- a few minor touch-ups and some light wear to the enamels
- the two end leaves on the crown could possibly have been reworked
- the vase has been reattached to the hands
