The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Please note antique textiles exhibit wear, losses, soiling and tears from normal use and repurposing. Some elements are re-pieced together with complimentary or contemporaneous textiles to mend.

The silk obi with a few long tears to the creases, consequential fraying (3¹⁄₂ in. long approx. the widest), the linen backing peering through. There is rubbing to the brocade throughout. Areas of soiling and discoloration throughout. The linen backing with raw edge and consequential minor fraying. The lining with several tears, clean separations with little fraying perhaps purposeful.
