The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
First Vase:
- one drilled hole through mouth rim and three later attached cylindrical fittings to the interior of mouth rim
- some losses to the enamel on the underside of the mouth rim
- a drilled hole to the side above the base and another drill hole ot the base
- expected small flecks and gaps in enamel most notably near the lower half
- approximately 1 in. wide area on band above foot with enamel ground down
Second Vase:
- several patches to areas of lost/damaged enamel, the largest 2 in. wide, primarily on mouth rim and to main section directly above the foot
-multiple small flecks and bubbles, some from production
- base drilled
