The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
Please note antique textiles exhibit wear, losses, soiling and tears from normal use and repurposing. Some elements are re-pieced together with complimentary or contemporaneous textiles to mend.
The four panels formerly a petticoat, with creases for waist fitting, slits for pockets and hem at bottom edge.
Presents in a larger element of three joined panels - with irregular top border. Pieced at the top edge. Soiling and evidence of water marks throughout. Some areas of darker discoloration. Tiny tears and scattered holes.
The fourth panel - pieced at the top edge. The selvedge undone in areas. Evidence of water marks, soiling and areas of discoloration throughout.
