The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Please note antique textiles exhibit wear, losses, soiling and tears from normal use and repurposing. Some elements are re-pieced together with complimentary or contemporaneous textiles to mend.

The pair of hangings:
With considerable wear to the silvered metallic threads throughout. A few tears and mended holes scattered. One hanging with patch repairs to the bottom corners. The other hanging with a large area of water mark at an extreme edge; 108¹⁄₄ in. (275 cm) long, 21¹⁄₂ in. (54.6 cm) wide.

The panel:
With fraying and losses to the silver and gold metallic threads. A few small patch repairs. The edged trim with wear to the metallic threads. Laid on linen, which is with areas soiling and small tears or pinhead holes; 37¹⁄₂ in. (95.3 cm) long, 85¹⁄₄ in. (216.5 cm) wide.
