The work is on board, which continues to provide stable support. The lower left corner is slightly worn. There are faint scuffs and scratches to the board overall.

The sheet has discoloured. There are scattered spots of faint foxing throughout, e.g. to the left of the figure's head. There are a few spots of stray gold pigment to the right of the figure's right hand.

The pigments have faded. There is some surface dirt, predominantly along the edges of the support.
