The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
- The ends of the tail's hanging feathers have been chipped and polished.
- There are a few nicks to the edges and extremities, some of which have possibly been polished.
- The ends of the wings have possibly been polished.
- There are some natural flaw lines (possibly few minute hairline cracks) within the stone.
- There are some natural cloudy inclusions within the stone.
The carving with general age-related surface wear as can be expected.
