The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record the condition of these pieces acquired after the period of their initial manufacture.
- The figures have age-related surface wear, light scratches and rubbing to the enamels and gilt as expected.
- One figure:
- The head has been re-attached with associated light restoration and overpainting to the hair and left ear.
- The decorative motif is missing to the front of the hair.
- There are two large chips to the underside of the base, the largest measuring 3 x 1.2 cm.
- Small area of restoration and overpainting to the lower edge of the robe measuring approx.3 x 2 cm.
Second figure:
- Some light touching up to the enamels in places.
- The upper section of the vase has been restored with associated overpainting.
- There is a shallow chip behind the vase where it joins the shoulder.
