The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record changes in the condition of these pieces acquired after their initial manufacture.
The iron-red cups:
The cups are in good condition, with very slight general age-related surface wear as can be expected.
The famille rose and iron-red cups:
- There is a vertical hairline crack to a cup, starting from the mouth rim.
- There are a few tiny scattered nicks to the mouth rims of both cups.
- There is some light wear to the enamels and the gilding.
Otherwise, the cups are in overall good condition.
