The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record changes in the condition of these pieces acquired after their initial manufacture.
One vase:
- The mouth rim and the foot rim are warped due to shocks.
- The handles have been refixed and one is loose.
- Two rings are missing on the handles.
- The screws securing the neck to the body are missing and the section is not completely in place.
- Some areas of restoration.
The other vase:
- The lower rim of the neck section has been bumped with associated losses of enamel.
- The screws securing the neck to the body are missing.
- Some losses / damages to the enamels all over, some filled-in / restored.
- Some surface wear and scratches.
- Some traces of green oxidation.
