The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record changes in the condition of these pieces acquired after their initial period of manufacture.
All have age-related light surface wear, light scratches and rubbing to the enamel sand gilt iin kepeing with their age.
Plate with five figures:
- Good overall condition.
En grisaille plate with Cupid:
-There is one hairline extending approx. 5 cm. from the rim.
- There is some fritting and some small nicks.
- There is an area of glaze crawl running along a horizontal line to the underside measuring approx. 13 cm.
- There is a paper label, sellotaped to the underside, reading: "Mme du Barney a son bain... avec Cupidon"

-There are a few small nicks and small chips to the underside of the rim, the largest measuring approx. 0.4 x 0.2 cm.
-There is some pitting and areas of glaze crawl.
Painted enamel dish
- The rim is slightly mishapen and there is a dent to measuring approx. 2 x 1 cm.

- There is a hairline extending approx. 5 cm. from the rim.
- There are a few scattered nicks and chips to the underside of the rim.
- There is a partially legible paper label reading "FR 4200 XXXXXX".
- There are some iron spots.

- There is extensive restoration and overpainting to the interior and exterior of both plates including to around half of the underside of one plate and a third of the rim to the interior of the other.
- There is some pitting to the base.
