The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record changes in the condition of these pieces acquired after their initial manufacture.
The three dishes:
- The 'horse rider' dish with an approx. 2 cm. long vertical hairline crack going down from the mouth rim, some small chips and nicks to the foot rim.
- The 'fruit' dish with some nicks to the rims, the glaze has been worn, some surface scratches.
- The 'shou' dish with some firing faults, otherwise in overall good condition.
The vase:
Good overall condition with some firing flaws and some minute frits to the mouth rim.
The lime pot:
- A flat chip to the top of the handles.
- A few nicks to the foot rim.
- Some minute frittings to the rims.
- Some surface scratches.
General age-related surface wear, scratches and firing flaws as can be expected.
