The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record changes in the condition of these pieces acquired after their initial manufacture.
The vase decorated with birds and flowers :
- There is a restored crack from the neck to the upper-part of the body.
- There is an formerly restored crack from the neck to the center of the body, with an associated Y-shaped crack.
The vase decorated with young boys :
- A large section of the vase was broken in several pieces and restuck / restored.
- There are areas with chips / losses of glaze on the body.
- There is a hairline crack inside the vase.
The vase with dignitaries :
- The base was pierced.
- A large section of the vase was broken and restuck, with associated losses of glaze and crack.
- There are several cracks, mainly on the neck.
The three vases with areas of frits and surface wear to the mouth rim, and age-related wear as can be expected.
