The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
The 'Mandarin ducks' box:
- There is a bruised section to the interior rim of the box.
- There are a few minute nicks to the exteriors.

The smooth box:
- The interior of the cover has a few chips, nicks and polished areas..
- The foot rim has a bruised area with associated nicks and a possible hairline.

Both boxes have some general surface wear and minute nicks to the extremities.
