The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

We have sought to record the changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
- the bowls and covers appear to be in overall good condition
- the other bowl has a horizontal firing flaw to the interior, and the cover has a firing flaw close to the mark, some tiny shallow rim nicks, and some adhered grit to the rim around the mark
- the other bowl has a few minor shallow flakes to the foot ring, and the over has a minute glaze flake to the rim around the mark
- both bowls and covers have minor flaws which are original to manufacture
