The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

We have sought to record the changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
- two legs are replaced with associated restoration, one of which is not jade, most likely glass
- an area of loss/recarving to one hoof
- a few chips and knocks to the edges and extremities
- a deep surface scratch with some wax infill to the body on one side
- natural fissures and inclusions, which are inherent to the stone
