The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
One Stamp End:
- two areas of loss to the top of the staff end with a few associated nicks, cracks and restoration
- other areas of restoration to the body, one of which seems to be an infilled hole.
- some expected loss to the gilding; some areas of earth encrustation
- a few nicks to the raised edges, a few indentations to the foot rim
Other Stamp End:
