We have sought to record changes to the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
- There is a tear along the mounting paper at the join with the roller, measuring max. approx. 35.6 cm by 2.6 cm. This tear has been reinforced with adhesive tape that has since dried out.
- There are three small tears to the paper joining the mount to the stave, measuring max. approx. 4.6 cm., 3.5 cm. and 1.9 cm.
- There is mild foxing on the mounting.
- The exterior of the scroll bears a label, which reads: wenwu shangdian (文物商店).
