The kang cover is worked in gold and silver-wrapped thread in the center with a shaped panel enclosing three cranes and a pagoda amidst waves and rocks within an outer field of lotus scroll, all reserved on a brocade silk ground with bats.

Provenance
The Collection of General Joseph W. Stilwell (1883-1946), acquired in the early twentieth century, and thence by descent within the family.
