A DARK CORAL-GROUND AND GILT 'FLOWER' MEDALLION BOWL
QIANLONG SIX-CHARACTER SEAL MARK IN UNDERGLAZE BLUE AND OF THE PERIOD (1736-1795)
The bowl is decorated in famille rose enamels with four medallions enclosing lotus, peony, rose and chrysanthemum, all in reserve on a rich, dark coral ground embellished with gilt floral scrolls. The interior is incised with the name Tai Hong.
6⅞ in. (17.4 cm.) diam.

The collection of Mrs M. Legrand (1883-1978), Paris, inherited by the current owner in 1997.
