The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

We have sought to record changes in the condition of these pieces acquired after their initial manufacture.

The bird facing right:
- There is a small loss to the back edge of the wing (approx. 0.5 cm.) and some associated crackling to that area.
- There are some further small bruises and chips to the right edge of the wing, right side of the body, and the base of the tail.
- There is very light crackling to the thighs.

The bird facing left:
- The piece appears to be in overall good condition, apart from a few tiny losses and bruises.

Both birds:
- Both pieces are mounted with later candelabra and stands.
