The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

La feuille est fixée au revers à un support cartonné par des charnières aux angles. La feuille présente une très légère ondulation et le bord inférieur est très légèrement irrégulier. Les angles présentent de très légères usures. De petits points d’accrétion et petits écaillages de matière sont visibles par endroits sur la surface. Trois petits trous sont visibles en lumière rasante, un le long du bord inférieur au centre, un autre vers le cou dans la partie bleue et le dernier dans la partie rose du chapeau. Examinée à la lumière UV: pas de repeint apparent. Sous réserve de ce qui précède, selon notre opinion, l’œuvre est en bon état général de conservation.

The sheet is hinged on the reverse to a cardboard support to the corners. The sheet undulates slightly and the lower edge is slightly irregular. The corners present very slight wears. Pinpoints accretions and small flaking are visible in places to the surface. Three tiny holes are visible under raking light, one along the lower edge to the center; another near the neck in the blue part and the last one in the pink part of the hat. Examined under UV light: no visible inpainting. Subject to the foregoing, it is our view that the work appears to be in overall good condition.
