The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
Overall with light wear. Some with nicks, frits, tiny chips and scattered imperfections in the making, as to be expected. Each examined under ultraviolet light.
A pair of platters and domed covers – With finials rubbed. Overall good condition.
A pair of scalloped bowls - One with a repaired rim chip. The other with two repaired crescent-shaped cracks to the rim. Each with overpaint.
A pair of sauceboats – One with faint line to its body, a few tiny lines to the top of its handle and with a loss to the enamel at the handle’s terminal.
A mazarine platter and strainer - The platter with an approx. 1 in. wide repaired rim chip.
Three platters – The larger with a tiny enamel chip to the well at 8 o’clock. A smaller platter with a small enamel loss to its rim at 1 o’clock. The other with two tiny rim chips at 7 o’clock.
An octagonal vegetable dish and cover - The finial rubbed and one of its applied leaves with a tiny line. A few small lines to the terminal of one handle.
A pair of vegetable dish liners – Overall good condition.
Six pot-de-crème and covers – One pot-de-crème with a restored rim chip issuing a line to the right of its handle.
A saucer dish – A rim chip with associated losses at 6 o’clock issuing two lines extending downward (the longer 21⁄2 in.). An approx. 11⁄2 in. rim line at 7 o’clock.
Nineteen dinner plates – Several with scattered short lines. One with a rim chip extending into an approx. 71⁄2 in. crack (staple-repaired on the back) and with a small chip to its well. One with a small rim chip at 6 o’clock and at 11 o’clock and with an approx. 2 in. line to its reverse rim. One with a network of cracks to its well, but stable. One with a large Y-shaped line to its well.
Eight soup plates – One with an approx. 11⁄2 in rim line at 5 o’clock.
Seven dishes – One with several lines and crazing to its well and rim. One with a large crack extending from its rim at 12 o’clock and encircling the well (stable). One with a few faint lines to its well and three lines to its reverse rim. A few with several short lines to the rim and reverse rim. One with a Y-shaped line to its underside.
