The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The silver overall with some minor scratches consistent with age and use, wear to the gilding, some rubbing to the cast and chased decoration at the high points, one knife lacking the silver-gilt cap to the end of the handle, some fork tines not quite straight and even, the porcelain with some wear and minor losses to the gilding, one knife with some areas of restoration and overpaint, one knife with a long U-shaped restored break to one side with associated areas of restoration and overpaint, one fork with a large area of restoration and discolored overpaint, enough slots in boxes for the pieces, but not all fit perfectly.
