The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Conté crayon on wove paper. Upper edge slightly uneven. Faintly light stained. Diagonal, flattened creases to the upper corners and lower left corner. One horizontal expertly repaired tear (approx. 1 cm.) at centre right edge, and one further at centre left edge. The edges of the sheet reinforced with Japan paper. Hinged at the upper corners. Bears the inscription of Nel Wouters '1915 Les veaux Amersfoort Je certifie que le dessin est de la main de Rik Wouters Mme Rik Wouters' (lower right). Subject to the foregoing it is our view that the work appears to be in generally good condition.
