The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

We have sought to record the changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
- The surcoat is in excellent condition overall with some very slight expected fading to the embroidered threads
- There are a few faint stains and a few minor areas of lifting to the lishui
- There are some tailored seams to the arms
- Most of the buttons are missing and the button loops have been replaced
