The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

We have sought to record the changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
It is in our opinion that the property is in good overall condition for its age.
- There are a few minor shallow dents to the top of the cover.
- There is a minor chip to lacquer to one cord hole of the bottom case.
- There are a few minor nicks and some surface abrasion to the risers and interior of cases, and a few light surfaces scratches to the exterior.
- There is a small touch-up to the interior of a few risers.
- There are some wear to the netsuke and a few minor dents to the wood.
