The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record the changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
It is in our opinion that the property is in good overall condition for its age.
- There are some loss to lacquer along the edges of the cover and the bottom case, and to the edges of cases and risers.
- There are a few small losses to the lacquer on the decoration, and light surface wear.
- There are some expected surface wear and tiny dents to the netsuke.
