Dr. Parson’s fond memories of the spring season in Kolkata found a powerful resonance in this Ragamala series, particularly the Hindol raga, traditionally associated with the arrival of spring and its lyrical melodies in Indian classical music. Deeply connected through his lifelong passion for classical music, he was drawn to acquire the piece as a visual expression of those cherished memories and musical traditions.
