The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
Warrior:
-The figure has been broken and restored, the hands are likely later plaster replacements
-Some scattered chips to the enamels
-The sword, base and tiger appear to be associated replacements (the tiger has been cut down and restored)
-The rock upon which the figure is seated has several firing cracks, which are inherent to manufacture
Joss stick holders:
- Both with some firing cracks, which are inherent to manufacture
- One lion with a small restoration to one corner of the base, the pup's leg and mouth, and is missing the ball implement underneath the proper right front paw
- The other with two corners of the base restored and a small chip to the raised paw.
Boy and lion group:
- The boy has a touch up to the top of his head, restoration to one hand and the other with one thumb and his cup restored as well as through his neck.
- The lion with restorations to the tail, the whorl of hair next to it, his tongue, left ear tip and one flange, with some losses to the lower front teeth
- The leaf base with a tiny chip to the edge of the rim
