The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
Guanyin:
- The Guanyin has some small areas of touch-up to the hood and hair
- Small losses to the proper right fingertips of the Guanyin and to the child's left sleeve
- The lotus base with scattered small chips to the rims and petals
- A section of the fence on the reverse of the base has been broken and re-stuck
- Some expected light wear and rubbing to the enamel on the highpoints
Sages:
- Some expected surface wear to the enamels and a few tiny chips to the sages' caps and finger tips
- The tip of the staff held by the central sage and the top of one fence post are missing
Shoulao:
- A small area of touch-up to the edge of Shoulao's cap, restoration to his staff and related hand (a section of the staff now missing)
- A small chip to the tip of the deer's tail
- A hairline crack to the base.
