We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture. From Left to right: 1st: - repaired break to one branch attaching the spout - touch up to the tip of spout with an associated chip 2nd: - a section of to the two sinuous branches that connect the body and spout are made-up 3rd: - both handle and spout appear to have been restuck and the whole pot is covered with a transparent coating - a small chip to the foot rim 4th: - an area of restoration or overpainting to one side of the body - both handle and spout have been reattached, with associated repair and overpainting to the applied decoration - a small knock and a few associated faint hairlines, to the other side of the body - a few minor chips to the applied leaves 5th: - an area of restoration to the lower body near the handle - a few glaze flakes and areas of overpainting to the aubergine glaze - restoration to the top of spout with associated chipping at the tip - some touch-ups and repairs to the applied leaves and branches - a small chip and a glaze chip to foot 6th: - Both handle and spout are restuck with associated painting All: - some expected light wear, and a few short firing cracks to the applied decoration original to manufacture
