We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
Immortal riding lion:
- A few small firing cracks, including to the immortal's beard and encircling the lion's feet, which are inherent to manufacture
-The lion with a few tiny hairline cracks to the teeth
- Some minor crazing, mainly to the immortal's pants
- A few shallow chips to the enamel on the base
Box and cover:
- The boy on the cover has hairline cracks to shoulder, elbow, thigh, and stomach
- The woman on the cover has the left hand restored and some rubbing and fritting to her hair and her trousers
- The bottom of the box has a small area of restoration and some fritting, which is inherent to manufacture
Warrior:
- missing the implement that would have been held in the proper right hand (either a sword or baton)
- some minor rubbing and wear to the enamel and the gilt
- a few areas of touch-up including to the raised hand, the fingertips on the other hand and the tip of the left sleeve
Scholar riding deer:
- A tiny loss to one fingertip of the scholar and to the tip of one of the deer's horns
- Some expected rubbing and surface wear
