The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
Both with expected light rubbing and faint scratches to the gilding, iron red and enamel decorations, with some remnants of old stickers and residue on the interior
One:
-two areas of restoration and associated overpainting, one of which has an associated hairline extending to the lower body
- an area of restoration to the foot rim on one side with associated hairlines
- a short crack under the glaze to the other side of the foot rim
- discoloration to the bottom of the interior consistent with age and use
The other:
- an area of restoration with associated overpainting to the mouth rim
-two firing cracks/flaws to the foot rim, which are original to the manufacture
-a short, faint crack to the interior
-a few burst glaze bubbles to the mouth rim and interior
- a few tiny nicks to the foot rim
