The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its manufacture.
- A small shallow chip to one vertical edge, a and a few other minor expected bruises to the uncarved sides, edges and extremities
- One uncarved side and the frame of the seal face have numerous horizontal lightly scratched lines, another side has a series of short, scratched lines and light pressed mark, and some light surface wear and minor scratches on all sides
- One light fissure inherent in the material
