The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
Agate inkwell:
-one leg of the qilong is broken.
-another paw is chipped
-there is a chip with associated crack to the body of the same qilong
-small crackles to the same qilong
-minor natural flaws to the agate
Letter opener:
-minor nicks to the raised parts of the carved qilong on the jade belt hook
-light surface wear and scratches to the blade
-some oxidation to the blade
-tiny dents along the edges of the blade
