The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

We have sought to record the changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
It is in our opinion that the property is in good overall condition for its age.
- There is a small area of loss to the bottom edge of the bottom case, and a small chip to one foot.
- There are some very fine cracks to lacquer to the top of the mouth rim of each cases and cover.
- There are some expected surface abrasion and a few negligible dents to the risers and to the underside of cover and cases.
- There are some expected very light surface wear, and a very minor dent on one side.
