The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

We have sought to record changes in the condition of these pieces acquired after their initial manufacture.

The wing-form covers are stuck to the body, they cannot be opened.

One incense burner:
- There are some small areas of losses to the enamels which have been filled-in.
- There are a few surface nicks to the enamels.
- There is some wear to the gilding.

The other incense burner:
- There is an area of restoration (approx. 1.5 cm. diam.) on the chest.
- There are a few small areas of losses to the enamels which have been filled-in.
- There is a bruise on one side, associated with in-fills.
- There is some wear to the gilding.

Both with general age-related surface wear and scratches as can be expected.
