The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
Ink palette:
- Appears in overall good condition
- Some irregularities due to firing, including fritting and associated small shallow chips to the edges, some flaws to the inner mouth rim and grinding surface, and a few bumps to the underside
- Some expected light surface scratches and abrasions, and wear to the grinding surface, all consistent with age and use

Door pulls:
One: in overall good condition except for a tiny shallow glaze chip or flake to the inner mouth rim
The other: A ship to one corner, and some fritting or small shallow chips to the inner mouth rim
