The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
There is wear to the gilding on the front of the cover. There is a build up of dust in the recessed areas of the carving and slight wear to the carved details of the figure's faces. There are nicks, scratches and abrasions throughout, particularly on the reverse.
